Koyao Bay Pavilions: choose a beach suite or a private-pool villa

Adults-only Beach Pavilion Suites share a pool; two-bedroom Villa Kirana offers a different layout and its own pool on Koh Yao Noi.

An island stay in Phang Nga

Koyao Bay Pavilions is on Koh Yao Noi in Phang Nga, rather than on Phuket’s mainland. Its official address is 46/7 Moo 5. The setting combines shoreline, tropical gardens, rice fields and forested hills, with the limestone formations of the Hong islands across the water.

Arrival requires an island transfer plan. Confirm the current pier, boat connection and final collection with the property before linking a room reservation to an arriving flight. Its facilities listing includes boat and vehicle transfers, but that does not establish an included fare or a particular sailing.

Beach Pavilion Suites: adults only, with a shared pool

The official Beach Pavilion Suite description gives 120 square metres for two guests and explicitly labels the category adults only. It consists of a main pavilion containing the bedroom and bathroom, with an attached private sala: a Thai-style open pavilion for resting.

Three beach pavilions sit by the gardens and share a swimming pool. This is therefore a category offering personal outdoor living space beside communal swimming facilities. A private sala is not a private pool, and the adults-only rule belongs to this category rather than the entire resort.

For two adults, the decision centres on that beachside arrangement. Confirm the particular suite’s position and any practical requirements for the open resting space. Families should compare an appropriate villa category instead of assuming that a general family-friendly description overrides the suite’s stated restriction.

Villa Kirana: two bedrooms in separate units

Villa Kirana’s official page describes 120 square metres of indoor space for four guests. Its two air-conditioned bedrooms have king-size beds and occupy two separate units, with two bathrooms. That separation is an important detail for parents who want children beside them at night or companions expecting bedrooms along one enclosed corridor.

The villa has a living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooking, microwave, electric oven and a full-size refrigerator and freezer. A seven-by-three-metre private pool, terrace and tropical palm garden create a substantially different arrangement from the shared-pool beach suites.

The official description places Kirana around 120 metres from the beach. Consider the garden-and-pool setting on its own merits rather than expect the same immediate shoreline position as a Beach Pavilion Suite. Confirm the bedroom access arrangement before choosing it for a group.

Dining and the wider property

La Sala restaurant and the clubhouse sit behind the villas, overlooking rice fields towards inland hills and forest. The resort lists excursions, massage and yoga, alongside laundry and WiFi. Ask about the availability and separate charges of any activity central to the trip.

Lana Willocks’s independent Travelfish guide, updated in January 2025, describes the approach through rice paddies and the distinctive use of private salas with antique furnishings. It also describes larger villas farther back from the beach. That perspective helps explain why exact location within the property matters as much as the general beachfront address.

The guide describes different pool arrangements among villas. Use the current named villa page to establish what belongs exclusively to the booked accommodation.

Recent stays reinforce the category distinction

Sharon M’s April 2026 review followed a week in a beachside pavilion. She praised staff assistance with trips, taxis and preparing kayaks, alongside La Sala’s food and service. Anne’s March 2026 account specifically concerned Kirana, highlighting its private pool, large clean villa and closeness to the beach.

Anton’s September 2026 family account, travelling with three children, praised villas, the beach and restaurant. It supports the availability of family experiences within the wider property, while providing no reason to disregard the Beach Pavilion Suite’s adults-only description.

Choose the accommodation layout first: a beachside suite with a shared pool or a villa whose named facilities suit the group. Then confirm the transfer and dining arrangements around that choice.
