A countryside resort, rather than a park lodge
Mela Garden is at 90 Moo 10, Lam Phraya Klang, Muak Lek, Saraburi, between Pak Chong and Muak Lek. It should not be mistaken for accommodation inside Khao Yai National Park. The official description presents 22 units with Italian-inspired stone and timber character, landscaped gardens and a 26-metre swimming pool.
The setting suggests choosing the property for time in the grounds as well as outings. Establish the journey to the places you intend to visit before relying on the wider Khao Yai destination label. Pet-friendly accommodation is advertised, but any stay with an animal needs its own agreement about eligibility and charges.
The Stone Cottage is a particular category
The official Stone Cottage page describes 145 square metres accommodating up to four people, with stone walls, yellow pine timber, an outdoor shower and private terrace overlooking palm gardens. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi and television are listed. Confirm the sleeping layout for four rather than infer it from the total floor area.
Other categories are different propositions. Terrazzo accommodation has a private terrace, while the Deluxe description mentions two closets and a tea-and-coffee pantry. Those details should not be transferred to every cottage. For a group, compare the actual bedroom and bathroom arrangement as well as indoor size; an outdoor shower also deserves consideration if privacy or weather exposure matters.
Room-specific reports add an upkeep question
Wittaya’s Booking review dated 18 October 2024, after a one-night October stay, liked a large Deluxe Double. Tharynee, reviewing on 18 November 2023 after an October night in a Terrazzo Two Bedroom Cottage, appreciated the quiet valley atmosphere but reported a lack of maintenance. Nick’s 3 August 2023 account of a July Deluxe Twin stay liked the high ceiling but found few pool loungers, a limited restaurant menu and no cocktail service. Aunchalee’s 8 April 2023 Deluxe Double review praised helpful people and a homely setting while wanting more upkeep.
These comments are historical and category-specific. Ask about the current cottage condition and dining offer, particularly if planning most meals on site. Mela Garden merits consideration for its generous cottage option and garden setting, provided the selected accommodation and present facilities support the stay you actually want.
