Choose the eastern location deliberately
Saithong House is at 333/22 Chiang Mai–Lamphun Road, Wat Ket, east of Chiang Mai’s Old City. It should be distinguished from other similarly named Saithong accommodation. Listed shared facilities include a kitchen, lounge, terrace, restaurant, parking and Wi-Fi.
Room inventory mentions air conditioning, a refrigerator, kettle, desk, balcony and shower, with the exact category requiring confirmation. These features can support a more independent daily routine, but a kettle or refrigerator alone does not establish that the booked room has a private cooking area. Ask how the shared kitchen is used if meals are part of the plan.
Recent guests differ on the meal experience
David’s 7 April 2026 review, displayed on HotelandPlace, found a homely atmosphere but thought transport useful because the property was outside central Chiang Mai. Yimiin, reviewing on 27 February, liked the quiet, private setting, polite service and simple breakfast. Frank’s 21 February account of a three-month stay criticised breakfast and said daily water stopped after staff saw purchased water. That last point is the guest’s allegation, not an established property policy.
A verified Expedia review dated 13 December 2019 praised kind service and daily room cleaning. It adds a historical service example rather than confirming today’s housekeeping schedule.

Agree the longer-stay routine
Clarify breakfast, drinking-water provision and cleaning for the exact reservation, particularly for an extended stay. Plan transport around the Wat Ket address rather than assume an Old City walking routine. Saithong House is worth considering when shared living space and a quieter base matter, provided the actual room and included services meet your needs.
