The Siam Residence Boutique Resort: distinct family and one-bedroom villas in Lipa Noi

Spacious villa layouts and a beach-and-pool setting, balanced by dated décor and air-conditioning complaints in recent accounts.

A west-coast Samui setting

The Siam Residence Boutique Resort is at 19/3 Santi Beach, Lipa Noi, on Koh Samui’s west coast. The garden-and-beach setting is a different proposition from the island’s busier party centres. Its appeal is a stay organised around the resort and its coastal surroundings.

The Family Villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms

The official Family Villa specification gives 130 square metres, with two separate four-poster bedrooms, a separate living room and a walk-in wardrobe, plus an additional wardrobe in the second bedroom. Crucially, it describes two separate bathrooms, one partially open-air with a Jacuzzi.

This layout makes a material difference for a family or two couples who want more separation than a one-bedroom villa with extra beds. Use the official two-bedroom, two-bathroom configuration when confirming the offer, rather than relying on inconsistent abbreviated distributor fields.

Individual air conditioning, television, Wi-Fi, a safe, minibar or refrigerator, hairdryer and electric kettle are listed. The patio may have a sea or garden view, so a family-category reservation alone does not establish a sea-facing position.

The one-bedroom category is a different choice

The official Pool Sea & Garden View Villa description lists one bedroom, a living room, a large en-suite bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. Twin beds are available on request. The patio faces either the garden or sea, depending on the accommodation reserved.

For friends who want separate beds, obtain confirmation of the twin arrangement before arrival. For a larger party, the distinction between this one-bedroom plan and the Family Villa is more important than the general villa label. Pool view should not be interpreted as an individual private pool.

Recent stays combine praise with room qualifications

Lucia’s review dated 6 September 2025 liked kind staff during a honeymoon and large rooms that were older but clean. Emmanuel’s 25 July account appreciated the beach, pool, food and staff, while finding rooms dark. Zoë’s 25 March review likewise liked the beach and pool but mentioned dated décor and noisy air conditioning.

Frederic’s 4 January 2025 account praised the pool, staff and large rooms, while finding external air-conditioning units noisy and wanting refurbishment. Scooter rental was unavailable when needed during that visit.

These accounts make space and service credible attractions without erasing the room-condition tradeoffs. Confirm the exact villa, outlook and cooling arrangements. A transport plan is also useful when relying on a quieter west-coast base; one guest’s unsuccessful rental request does not establish current availability.
